June 19 - 21 Spa Blast Summer Showcase (Hot Springs, AR)
River Mount turned in a dominant all-around performance while helping AR Prime Martinez 16U earn a third-place finish out of 29 teams against elite 18U competition. Throughout the tournament, River showcased her ability to control games in the circle and contribute offensively, playing a key role in the team's success.
vs. LA Hotshots 18U (W, 4-0)
River was outstanding in the circle, throwing 5.2 scoreless innings while striking out eight and issuing no walks. She consistently attacked hitters, getting ahead in the count against 17 of the 20 batters she faced and generating 19 swinging strikes on just 79 pitches. A key defensive moment came in the fourth inning when she induced a two-out fly out to end a threat and preserve the shutout. At the plate, she produced two quality at-bats and finished 1-for-2.
vs. Shockwave 18U (W, 11-0)
River continued her dominance by throwing four scoreless innings with five strikeouts and no walks. She recorded nine swinging strikes on 46 pitches while getting ahead in the count against eight of 13 hitters. Offensively, she was nearly unstoppable, going a perfect 3-for-3 with a double and scoring two runs. Her first-inning double helped spark the offense and significantly increased AR Prime's win probability. She also demonstrated a mature approach at the plate, averaging more than five pitches per plate appearance while producing two line drives and two quality at-bats.
vs. Legends National 18U (W, 8-0)
River delivered one of her strongest performances of the tournament. In five shutout innings, she struck out eight batters, walked none, and worked from pitcher's counts against 15 of the 16 hitters she faced. One of the game's biggest moments came when she struck out Jaylynn C. with one out in the second inning, helping swing momentum toward AR Prime. At the plate, River drove in two runs with a clutch two-out hit, recorded three quality at-bats in three plate appearances, and finished 2-for-3.
vs. LA Rage 18U (W, 13-3)
River contributed both in the circle and at the plate during another AR Prime victory. She pitched three innings, striking out four while continuing her trend of avoiding leadoff walks. Offensively, she reached base twice, finishing 1-for-1 with a walk.
vs. AR Platinum 18U (L, 0-4)
Despite the loss, River continued to compete effectively in the circle. She threw five innings, struck out five, walked none, and induced eight swinging strikes. She consistently challenged hitters and allowed no leadoff walks while facing pitcher's counts against 16 of 23 batters. At the plate, she recorded a hard-hit ball despite finishing 0-for-2.
vs. AR Thunder (L, 5-6)
River battled through a complete seven-inning outing, striking out five without issuing a walk. She helped AR Prime early by inducing a fly out with one out in the first inning and continued to attack hitters throughout the game. Offensively, she produced two quality at-bats and hit the ball hard despite finishing 0-for-2.
Tournament Summary
River was one of the tournament's most effective pitchers, consistently attacking the strike zone, limiting free passes, and missing bats against older competition. Across six appearances, she compiled:
