June 19 - 21 Spa Blast Summer Showcase (Hot Springs, AR)
River Mount turned in a dominant all-around performance while helping AR Prime Martinez 16U earn a third-place finish out of 29 teams against elite 18U competition. Throughout the tournament, River showcased her ability to control games in the circle and contribute offensively, playing a key role in the team's success.
vs. LA Hotshots 18U (W, 4-0)
River was outstanding in the circle, throwing 5.2 scoreless innings while striking out eight and issuing no walks. She consistently attacked hitters, getting ahead in the count against 17 of the 20 batters she faced and generating 19 swinging strikes on just 79 pitches. A key defensive moment came in the fourth inning when she induced a two-out fly out to end a threat and preserve the shutout. At the plate, she produced two quality at-bats and finished 1-for-2.
vs. Shockwave 18U (W, 11-0)
River continued her dominance by throwing four scoreless innings with five strikeouts and no walks. She recorded nine swinging strikes on 46 pitches while getting ahead in the count against eight of 13 hitters. Offensively, she was nearly unstoppable, going a perfect 3-for-3 with a double and scoring two runs. Her first-inning double helped spark the offense and significantly increased AR Prime's win probability. She also demonstrated a mature approach at the plate, averaging more than five pitches per plate appearance while producing two line drives and two quality at-bats.
vs. Legends National 18U (W, 8-0)
River delivered one of her strongest performances of the tournament. In five shutout innings, she struck out eight batters, walked none, and worked from pitcher's counts against 15 of the 16 hitters she faced. One of the game's biggest moments came when she struck out Jaylynn C. with one out in the second inning, helping swing momentum toward AR Prime. At the plate, River drove in two runs with a clutch two-out hit, recorded three quality at-bats in three plate appearances, and finished 2-for-3.
vs. LA Rage 18U (W, 13-3)
River contributed both in the circle and at the plate during another AR Prime victory. She pitched three innings, striking out four while continuing her trend of avoiding leadoff walks. Offensively, she reached base twice, finishing 1-for-1 with a walk.
vs. AR Platinum 18U (L, 0-4)
Despite the loss, River continued to compete effectively in the circle. She threw five innings, struck out five, walked none, and induced eight swinging strikes. She consistently challenged hitters and allowed no leadoff walks while facing pitcher's counts against 16 of 23 batters. At the plate, she recorded a hard-hit ball despite finishing 0-for-2.
vs. AR Thunder (L, 5-6)
River battled through a complete seven-inning outing, striking out five without issuing a walk. She helped AR Prime early by inducing a fly out with one out in the first inning and continued to attack hitters throughout the game. Offensively, she produced two quality at-bats and hit the ball hard despite finishing 0-for-2.
Tournament Summary
River was one of the tournament's most effective pitchers, consistently attacking the strike zone, limiting free passes, and missing bats against older competition. Across six appearances, she compiled:

July 22 - 25 Alliance Fastpitch Open Nationals, Chattanooga TN
River Delivers at Alliance Fastpitch Open Nationals as Tribute Finishes 5-3
Tribute Premier 16U wrapped up a strong showing at the Alliance Fastpitch Open Nationals (July 22-25), finishing with a 5-3 record against some of the top competition in the country. River played a pivotal role throughout the tournament, contributing at a high level both in the circle and at the plate.
Over eight games, River hit an impressive .478, continuing her offensive consistency while also carrying a significant pitching workload. She logged 25.2 innings, recording 28 strikeouts while issuing just four walks. Her tournament numbers included a 2.455 ERA, 1.052 WHIP, and opponents managed just a .219 batting average against her.
Game-by-Game Highlights
Vs. Valor 2010 Gold 16U (L, 5-3)
River opened the tournament by going 2-for-3 at the plate. In the circle, she generated nine swinging strikes on just 63 pitches and struck out two hitters. Despite the final score, she consistently challenged hitters and kept the ball out of the middle of the field, with most contact limited to the outfield.
Vs. Gators Premier-Clements (W, 8-3)
River contributed on both sides of the ball, tossing two scoreless innings with three strikeouts and no walks. At the plate, she finished 1-for-3 with a double, continuing to produce quality contact while attacking hittable pitches early in the count.
Vs. SFL Intensity KOD/Pascual 16U (W, 9-3)
River collected two hits in three at-bats, including another double, while raising her season batting average to .471 at the time. She also added a strikeout during a relief appearance and continued to show excellent bat-to-ball skills, putting together two quality at-bats without striking out.
Vs. Ohio Lasers 2028-Gaskill 16U (W, 5-2)
This was one of River's strongest performances of the weekend. She threw a complete-game seven innings, allowing just two runs while striking out four and walking none. She consistently worked ahead in counts, avoided leadoff walks all game, and delivered several key outs, including a pivotal third-inning strikeout that shifted momentum in Tribute's favor. She also added a hit offensively.
Vs. ECBC 16U (L, 5-3)
Although Tribute came up short, River turned in another outstanding pitching performance, allowing only one run over four innings while striking out seven and issuing zero walks. She worked ahead of nearly every hitter she faced and also contributed a hit at the plate.
Vs. Intensity KOD/JM 16U (W, 3-2)
River showcased her versatility by pitching and playing left field. She recorded a scoreless inning in relief with a strikeout, including a crucial sixth-inning punchout that significantly boosted Tribute's chances late in the game. While she was held hitless, she squared up a hard-hit ball and continued to play solid defense.
Vs. Fusion National Unruh/Hobgood 16U (W, 4-3)
River was once again a difference-maker, pitching five innings while striking out five. She generated 11 swinging strikes and induced a critical double play during the fifth inning to help preserve the lead. Offensively, she reached base in both official at-bats, finishing 2-for-2 while demonstrating patience by averaging 5.5 pitches per plate appearance.
Vs. Fury Platinum National Belk 16U (L, 6-1)
River closed the tournament with another quality outing in the circle, striking out five over three innings while allowing just two runs. She also reached base twice, going 1-for-1 with a walk, and put together two quality plate appearances despite the team's final loss.

River's performance throughout Nationals reflected her ability to impact games in multiple ways. She consistently attacked hitters, throwing strikes and limiting free passes while generating swings and misses against elite competition. Offensively, she continued to produce quality at-bats, hitting .478 with multiple extra-base hits and consistently putting pressure on opposing defenses.
Against one of the nation's deepest tournament fields, River proved to be a dependable two-way contributor and an important part of Tribute Premier 16U's successful 5-3 run at the Alliance Fastpitch Open Nationals.
